MAJOR FUNCTIONS

The CMERC will drive improvements in the Crisis Management and Emergency Response systems and training at Khor Mor site, the Erbil office and in Sharjah. They are also responsible for the site-based Emergency Response Team in terms of schedules and assigning duties, training them in firefighting and rescue techniques. The CMERC also monitors the care and maintenance of the fire station and all equipment and equipment within the Khor Mor facility. The CMERC is responsible for ensuring the operations team are prepared for the new KM250/KM500 expansions from an and Emergency Response perspective

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Incident Management

• Trains the Incident Management Team (IMT) and Incident Support Team (IST) on appropriate techniques for managing Incidents, based upon the Incident Command System and Incident Management Plan.
• Coaches the IMT and IST personnel on their roles and provides constructive feedback for improvement.
• Creates and runs regular monthly exercises to practice the coordination of the IMT and ERT.
• Creates twice yearly exercises to practice the IMT and IST.
• Updates Crisis Management, Incident Management and Emergency Response plans and documents as required.
• Prepare specifics zone response plans for the new KM250 and other future facilities.

Emergency Response

• Trains On scene commanders for all emergencies within the current and future area of Khor Mor operations.
• Liaises directly with the HSE Team in the coordination and development of the company\'s emergency response plans and procedures.
• Trains the ERT on emergency rescue of personnel trapped or injured in a hazardous environment.
• Trains the ERT in fire and rescue techniques including the use and care of SCBA.
• Provides fire and safety advice to management and workforce when required.
• Provides Spill response, Confined Space Entry, vehicle accident response, HAZMAT response and fire response training to the ERT and other key personnel as required.

Crisis Management

• Provides coaching to the Crisis Management Team (CMT), based in Sharjah.
• Create and runs annual exercises for the CMT in coordination with the IST and IMT.

General

• Work with Local Authorities and neighbouring assets to improve Mutual Aid arrangements.
• Support the enforcement of site rules and regulations
• Weekly and Monthly reports to the HSE Manager regarding environmental activity highlights
• Other HSE related duties and tasks at the discretion of the line manager .

MINIMUM PROFESSIONAL & EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of 15 years\' experience involved in Emergency Response and/or Fire Fighting, Rescue and Support activities, Fire Protection, Fire Prevention, and spill response
• 5 years\' experience as a Fire Trainer preferred
• Oil and gas experience required
• Experience of creating Tactical Emergency Response Plans as well strategic Crisis Management plans at all levels of organizations
• Internationally recognized qualification in on-scene command and emergency response.
• Recognized Fire Service Examinations preferred
• Recognized Fire & Rescue Shift Supervisors Examinations preferred
• Certifications for training on Confined Spaces, Firefighting equipment, SCBA, HAZMAT response
• HAZWOPER Trainer preferred
• ICS Trainer Preferred
• Incident and accident certifications preferred
