Scope: Perform routine aspects of Project Cost Control such as tracking, monitoring, and analysing costs of projects, including running cost control reports, analyzing budget variances and ensuring accurate costs
Principle duties & responsibilities: Control and monitor project total expenditure such as verifying and checking of invoices and claims from suppliers, vendors and subcontractors Follow cost and accounting procedures and ensure that all expenditures, estimates, and change orders are properly caputured, recorded, coded and dispersed into proper work breakdown structure (WBS) and that codes match the project list in SAP Provide planning and cost controlling support for all projects that includes variation reporting, monitoring of milestone progress to the preparation of customer billing processes, etc
Prepare project PCCS/BAF reporting, in conjunction with PMs, for monthly project status meetings ensure that expenditures
are kept within the project budget and elevate issues in a timely manner Liaise with procurement and Finance Teams on invoice coding/approval and accrual processes Liaise with BU Finance team on month end process and procedures Assists in the maintenance of the project cash flow (PFS) as required by the organization Identify variances to budget and liaise with project team to identify the reason for the variance
Generate system reports to provide Project Managers with the information necessary to effectively understand and manage
the project Attend project meetings and discussions with the Project Management team, work with them to resolve project issues to ensure the delivery/completion of the project work and provide cost control and planning advice to them as and when required Ensure effective project implementation and utilize productive reports from the creation with the use of project management system to monitor the status of all purchases, invoicing and delivery up to the closure of the project Use SAP functions to perform the required activities and the production of various reports as required. Comply with all Enerflex HR, Quality, HSE, and all the Company policies, procedures, processes, work instructions and guidelines Perform all other duties as assigned by Supervisor / Manager
Job Specifications: Minimum bachelors in Engineering or Business with specialization in Project Management or Cost Control related training Minimum 5 years relevant and similar capacity in project estimating and cost controlling preferably in EPC industry Bookkeeping/accounting Knowledge is required Technically strong in project cost planning, scheduling and reporting Knowledge in the use of MS Project, Primavera Scheduling and SAP softwares is highly advantageous Demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills Strong analytical and problem solving skills and meticulous Possess good project background and technical writing ability and skills Mature, proactive, resourceful and hands-on with good initiative Independent worker who can work well with a team Working conditions: Office Based
