The Sr. Project Controls Specialist is responsible for the development and preparation of Project Controls deliverables on the assigned project with minimal supervision and/or oversight. The role directly reports to Manager of Project Controls and Project Manager assigned and routinely interacts with Senior Operations professionals within organization. Key Tasks and Responsibilities: · Understand contract requirements - Coordinate the Project Team input to schedule · Prepare the master and summary schedules, coordinate development of the Project Baseline Schedule · Provide weekly "look-ahead" schedules, Prepare monthly update and critical path schedule analysis · Coordinate schedule review meetings · Promptly notify project team of issues and concerns · Analyze schedule impacts and changes and develop recovery plans · Coordinate discipline input into progress measurement system · Coordinate preparation of project cost management system · Assist with loading the control estimate into the JDE Edwards · Develop and maintain the project cost report, Understand the budget very well, go through the project technical/commercial requirement in order to forecast properly · Assist with change order preparation and processing, project cost analysis and reporting · Provide and maintain cost forecast work sheets supporting the forecast process, Analyze the cost, ask questions. Continuously update the forecast and flag out any risk/opportunities · Based on quantity trending from Engineering, develop quantity adjustments to the forecast · Promptly notify the EPFC Manager, Senior Management and Project Controls Manager of issues and concerns · Understand the revenue and the ability to connect any impacts which occurs throughout the project lifetime to the revenue · Coordinate quantity information update into the Project Management System based on craft quantity take-offs from IFC drawings · Update weekly progress from the crafts in the Project Management System and calculate the earned % complete · Review quantity trend information from engineering · Provide earned/actual data and Productive Factor weekly · Incorporate approved Contract Change Notice, Quantity adjustment, and quantity adjustment Internal Impact Notice, into the progress base. · Update and maintain progress management system · Involved deeply in staffing plan and gather all the required information to project the overall cost · Understand, project milestones and activities · Lead the development of project schedule working with the project team · Development of all levels of the project schedule · Facilitate monthly updates and critical path schedule analysis · Participate in schedule review meetings · Analyze and report schedule impacts · Participate in planning sessions of the project · Lead Project control team for projects with multiple project control specialist

Essential Qualifications and Education: 5-10 years of EPF or EPC experience as a cost specialist / planner (experience in Refining / Oil & Gas, Petrochemical or industrial fabrication industries preferred) Skilled in MS Word, Excel and Power Point Competent in the use of all Microsoft office tools, with particular expert use of Excel. Expert in the use of the JDE accounting package, or similar.
