Key Responsibilities

Prepare, analyze, and present product cost reports, including cost of goods sold (COGS), standard vs. actual cost variances, and inventory valuations. Track and reconcile raw material, WIP, and finished goods inventory using F&B-specific costing methods. Monitor and validate Bills of Materials (BOMs) and recipe costing structures to ensure accurate pricing and margin control. Partner with procurement, production, and finance teams to allocate costs accurately across processes. Conduct labor and overhead cost analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities. Support monthly and annual closing routines with cost-related data and commentary. Maintain and improve cost accounting systems and internal controls. Prepare management reports and dashboards to track cost trends, profitability, and key performance metrics. Ensure compliance with UAE accounting standards, VAT requirements, and internal company policies.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

At least 1 year of UAE?based experience

working as a Cost Accountant in the

Food & Beverage sector

. Solid grasp of cost accounting principles relevant to food manufacturing, restaurants, or distribution. Advanced proficiency in

Microsoft Excel

(e.g. pivot tables, cost modelling). Experience with ERP/accounting software (SAP, Oracle, Tally, or similar). Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines.

Preferred Attributes

Professional certifications like ACCA, CMA, or CIMA (completed or in progress). Familiarity with UAE VAT regulations and how they affect cost accounting entries.
