Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented

Contract Manager

to lead the contractual and commercial oversight of construction and civil engineering projects across a wide range of sectors. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in contract administration, risk management, and negotiation, with deep knowledge of UAE construction laws and industry standards. This role demands a proactive professional capable of managing the entire contract lifecycle while ensuring legal compliance, cost-effectiveness, and risk mitigation.

Key Responsibilities

Draft, review, and negotiate various contracts related to construction, infrastructure, and engineering projects. Ensure all contractual agreements comply with UAE laws, industry regulations, and internal policies. Manage the full contract lifecycle including renewals, amendments, terminations, and close-outs. Identify and mitigate contractual risks including claims, delays, scope changes, and disputes. Handle contract administration for clients, vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors. Prepare and support the resolution of claims, variations, and extension of time (EOT) requests. Monitor and manage project milestones, payment schedules, liquidated damages, and financial liabilities. Liaise with legal teams, consultants, contractors, and internal departments to ensure alignment and clarity. Maintain accurate records of contracts, correspondences, change orders, and claims documentation.

Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Law, or a related field.

7-10 years of relevant experience

, with

a minimum of 5 years in the UAE

(mandatory). In-depth understanding of UAE contract law,

FIDIC conditions

, and dispute resolution practices. Strong commercial awareness, risk analysis, and decision-making capabilities. Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple high-value contracts in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of contract management software is a plus.
