Based in UAE, the Contract Management Manager will be responsible for the contract management monitoring of all existing and future legal entities in UAE (SPV & OpCo), with initially a significant focus on MAGMA and Sharjah Waste to Energy. He/She will support the management of all the JV and legal entities in UAE.

Commuting to all local entities will be required whenever the need occurs.

The Contract Management Manager will be in charge of ensuring that the contracts in UAE (SPV + OpCo) are managed efficiently with the purpose of maximizing profitability whilst maintaining standards and relationships: * Providing all business and legal affairs support required by the business of legal entity especially official liaison with Clients, O&M entity, Subcontractors and Lenders (Magma project is financed by non-recourse debt);
  • Managing corporate matters.
This includes delivering first hand, first class business and legal affairs support on matters of key strategic, financial and reputational importance to the business.

Key Responsibilities : * Elaborate and build all the contractual negotiations and discussions with subcontractors, in coordination with the CEO, COO, CFO and the O&M Management team.
  • Managing claims (incoming and outgoing), developing claim strategies, preparing notifications/correspondence and related documentation (amendments, change orders, and other contract related documents)
  • Review of and advice on contractual aspects of procurement documents, processes, strategies and evaluation criteria for survey, engineering, consultancy and O&M works
  • Participate to project contractual reviews and conduct contract induction meetings
  • Ensure that a contract management plan is in place
  • Ensure that contractual obligations are identified and that the tracking systems are prepared and used to monitor all parties\' (client, subcontractors, O&M, lenders) contractual obligations (note that this will include payment obligations- outgoing and incoming)
  • Ensure collection of data (including payment records and as-built schedules) throughout the contract\'s life which could be required to support (and/or defend against) all current and potential future claims
  • Track and initiating reductions in Letters of Credit, LDs, Warranty and other commercial risk at project close
  • Track and timely release of all contract-required notifications
  • Act as the primary liaison for legal ensuring their involvement in key matters and project disputes
  • Ensure all Lenders Financial documentation and JV obligation follow up and liaison;
  • Ensure follow up of O&M obligation under the contract
Participate, and ensure contract managers participate, in sharing lessons learnt/returns on experience and best practices within the legal entity and partners.

Qualifications

Education requirements
  • BS degree engineering or law or equivalent
  • Minimum 7 years of experience
  • Proven working experience in contract management of large projects
Required certifications
  • Project Management Certification (preferred)
  • Contract Management Certification (preferred)
Required technical skills
  • You present strong contract management experience in a project context
  • You have good knowledge of management, lenders key supplier\'s activities and projects contracting scheme under various partnership (development, construction, financing)
  • You have experience in project economics and asset management methods, as well as relevant industry standards
  • Contractual and commercial knowledge to ensure contract compliance, overall commercial integrity and timely delivery.
  • Knowledge in legal, contractual, and commercial terms related to construction activities
Knowledge, skills & abilities
  • You are fluent in English and competent verbal and written communication skills
  • Competent in conflict and crisis management
  • Excellent time and project management skills
  • Financial acumen
  • Arabic is a plus
