Construction Technical Manager

Job Description
oversees all technical aspects of building projects, bridging design and execution by managing engineering, drawings, technical submissions, and subcontractor coordination to ensure quality, safety, and adherence to budget and schedule, acting as a key expert for the project team. They handle site logistics, value engineering, permits, and technical reporting, leading technical staff to meet project goals.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Documentation:
Reviewing design drawings, managing shop drawings, and ensuring all documentation aligns with project specifications.Project Planning:
Developing construction methods, site logistics, and work schedules, often supervising planning engineers.Technical Oversight:
Providing guidance on technical queries, managing submittals, and ensuring compliance with building codes and safety standards.Coordination:
Liaising with consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams (procurement, project management) to resolve issues and integrate disciplines (electrical, civil, etc.).Quality & Risk Management:
Implementing quality control, value engineering, and risk mitigation strategies.Reporting:
Preparing technical reports and monthly site reports for management.Essential Skills
Strong understanding of construction methodologies, engineering principles, and materials. Leadership and team management. Problem-solving and risk mitigation. Excellent communication for stakeholder coordination.
Typical Experience
Often requires a background in engineering (Civil, Electrical, etc.) or architecture. Experience managing technical teams and overseeing project phases from conception to completion.
