Together with our client, a maritime transportation company, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Compliance Manager to join the team in Dubai. The Compliance Manager will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a comprehensive compliance program to ensure adherence to all applicable laws, regulations and internal policies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in regulatory compliance, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with various stakeholders. The Compliance Manager will report to the Head of Finance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement an effective compliance program that aligns with applicable laws, regulation and internal policies.
• Conduct regular compliance risk assessments and identify areas of potential vulnerability.
• Create and revise compliance policies and procedures to address new regulations or changes in the business environment.
• Provide guidance and training to employees on compliance related matters.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the compliance program and make recommendations for improvement.
• Investigate and respond to compliance violation or incidents including conducting internal investigations as necessary.
• Maintain up to date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure compliance requirements are integrated into business processes.
• Liaise with external regulatory bodies, auditors and other relevant parties as necessary.
• Prepare and submit required reports to regulatory agencies and management.

Requirements

• Bachelor\'s degree in business, law, finance, or a related field. A master\'s degree or professional certification in compliance is preferred.
• Proven experience working as a compliance manager or in a similar role.
• In-depth knowledge or relevant laws, regulations and industry standards.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex regulations and develop practical solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate complex compliance issues to non-compliance personnel.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Experience conducting internal investigations and managing compliance incidents.
• Proficient in using compliance management software and other relevant tools.
