to join our Mediterranean standalone restaurant. The ideal candidate will support the Pastry Chef in preparing, baking, and presenting high-quality desserts, breads, and pastries, ensuring they align with our restaurant's authentic Mediterranean concept.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation of a variety of Mediterranean desserts, pastries, and baked goods.
Follow recipes and instructions accurately to maintain consistency and quality.
Support the Pastry Chef with mise en place, dough preparation, baking, and finishing techniques.
Ensure proper storage, rotation, and labeling of all ingredients and products.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the pastry section, complying with HACCP and food safety guidelines.
Assist in inventory control and report shortages of ingredients or supplies.
Contribute ideas for seasonal or menu-specific dessert items when requested.
Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations during service.
Requirements & Qualifications
Minimum 1-2 years' experience in a pastry role, preferably in a Mediterranean or fine-dining restaurant.
Basic knowledge of Mediterranean desserts such as baklava, kunafa, ma'amoul, panna cotta, and regional breads.
Passion for pastry arts with a willingness to learn and grow under senior chefs.
Strong attention to detail, creativity, and consistency.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
