We are hiring Commis 2 for Catering services for the Dubai Location; we need the immediate joiners.

Job Summary:



The Commis Chef (Indian Cuisine) will assist in large-scale preparation and production of Indian dishes for catering operations. The role involves supporting the kitchen team in food preparation, maintaining quality and hygiene standards, and ensuring timely execution of catering orders for events and bulk production.

Key Responsibilities:



Assist in

preparation and cooking of Indian food items

such as curries, biryanis, tandoori items, gravies, rice, breads, and snacks as per menu and production plan. Support the

daily food production process

for bulk catering orders, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation. Follow standard recipes and portion controls to maintain quality and minimize wastage. Prepare mise-en-place for assigned sections (cutting, marination, grinding, etc.). Ensure

strict adherence to hygiene, sanitation, and food safety standards (HACCP)

throughout the production process. Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, utensils, and equipment. Assist in

packing, labeling, and dispatching

of food items for catering deliveries. Receive and store raw materials properly, ensuring FIFO (First In, First Out) practices are followed. Report any shortage of ingredients, faulty equipment, or quality issues to the supervisor. Work closely with the Chef de Partie to meet production timelines and standards.

Requirements:



Minimum

1-2 years of experience

as a Commis Chef in Indian cuisine, preferably in a

catering or bulk food production

environment. Knowledge of Indian spices, cooking methods, and large-quantity preparation techniques. Understanding of food safety and kitchen hygiene standards. Ability to work efficiently under pressure and in a team setting. Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and event days. Good communication and time-management skills.

Education:



Diploma or Certificate in Culinary Arts or equivalent preferred.
