The Commis - Bakery will assist in preparing, baking, and presenting bakery products, ensuring high quality and consistency while maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation and baking of bread, pastries, cakes, and other bakery items.
Measure, mix, and prepare ingredients according to recipes.
Ensure bakery products are produced to standard taste, texture, and presentation.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery section.
Store ingredients and finished products properly to maintain freshness.
Assist senior bakers in daily operations and follow instructions.
Comply with hygiene, safety, and food handling regulations.
Qualifications & Skills:
Previous experience in a bakery or pastry kitchen is an advantage.
Basic knowledge of baking techniques and equipment.
Attention to detail, creativity, and willingness to learn.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Good teamwork and communication skills.
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or culinary certificate in Baking & Pastry (preferred).
