Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Civil/Architectural Engineer with 3-6 years of UAE-based experience to oversee construction projects, ensure compliance with local regulations, and manage design coordination. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in residential, commercial, or infrastructure projects and be capable of working with contractors, consultants, and government authorities. Key Responsibilities: 1. Design & Planning:

• Review and approve architectural/structural drawings, ensuring compliance with UAE DM (Dubai Municipality)/ADM (Abu Dhabi Municipality)/other emirate regulations.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and clients to finalize designs and BOQs.
• Prepare technical reports, feasibility studies, and material specifications.

2. Construction Supervision:

• Monitor on-site construction activities to ensure adherence to approved drawings, quality standards, and safety protocols (UAE Fire & Life Safety Code, Green Building standards).
• Conduct snagging inspections and ensure timely defect rectification.
• Manage shop drawings, MEP coordination, and as-built documentation.

3. Project Management:

• Track project progress against schedules and budgets.
• Liaise with government authorities (e.g., DM, TRA, DDA) for permits, inspections, and approvals.
• Resolve technical issues and RFIs (Requests for Information) during construction.

4. Compliance & Documentation:

• Ensure all projects meet UAE Civil Defense, ESC (Engineering Supervision Consultant), and ISO standards.
• Maintain logs for material submittals, inspection requests (IRs), and method statements.
• Prepare handover documents (O&M manuals, warranties, completion certificates).

5. Software & Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, BIM, and MS Project/Primavera.
• Familiarity with UAE construction practices (e.g., DEWA/ADDC regulations, Aluminium/Cladding standards).

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
• Experience:
• 3-6 years in UAE with exposure to high-rise, villas, or mixed-use projects.
• Experience working with main contractors/consultancy firms.
• Licenses/Certifications (Preferred):
• UAE Driver's License (for site visits).
• Engineer accreditation from UAE authorities (e.g., Dubai Municipality Registered Engineer).
• Soft Skills:
• Strong communication (English; Arabic is a plus).
• Problem-solving and negotiation skills.
