Civil Chargehand
Position Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Civil Chargehand to oversee on-site civil construction activities, manage labor teams, and ensure projects stay on schedule, on budget, and conform to quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor daily civil engineering activities including formwork, concrete works, masonry, and finishing.
Supervise and coordinate construction labor teams--both direct hires and subcontractors.
Enforce quality control protocols: checklists, inspection plans, NCRs, and handover documentation.
Ensure compliance with UAE safety regulations, PPE usage, and all site-specific Health & Safety procedures.
Maintain work permits, method statements, and safe work plans to support ongoing operations.
Track project schedule and resource allocation; report progress and issues to site supervisors.
Coordinate with commercial teams to manage scope changes and materials procurement as needed.
Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum 3-5 years of civil construction experience, with experienced supervision of personnel.
Strong ability to interpret civil/structural drawings and site instructions.
Basic trade certification or tertiary qualification is preferred.
Valid UAE driving license is a plus.
Familiarity with modular systems, safe working at heights, and general hand/power tool use.
Experience in UAE/GCC is mandatory.
