Job Description

Responsibilities:

1. Chip-Level Repairs:

- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues at the chip or motherboard level in laptops and mobile devices.

- Repair or replace damaged components such as ICs, resistors, capacitors, transistors, etc.

- Use advanced tools like oscilloscopes, multimeters, and soldering stations for precision repair.

2. Board-Level Repairs:

- Handle motherboard failures, including GPU, CPU, and power circuit issues.

- Reballing or replacing chips using hot air guns and rework stations.

3. Firmware and BIOS Programming:

- Flash or reprogram BIOS and firmware on both mobile and laptop devices.

4. Component Replacement:

- Replace damaged parts like screens, batteries, connectors, and chips on motherboards.

5. Testing and Quality Control:

- Perform detailed functional tests after repairs to ensure full functionality.

- Ensure proper thermal management, especially in laptops with heat issues.

6. Client Communication:

- Explain technical issues and solutions to clients in layman's terms.

- Provide estimates for repairs and suggest appropriate maintenance practices.

7. Inventory and Tools Management:

- Maintain and update the inventory of components like chips, screens, connectors, and repair tools.

8. Software Diagnosis and Troubleshooting:

- Use software tools for diagnosing hardware issues.

- Reinstall operating systems and troubleshoot software-related problems affecting hardware performance.

Qualifications

1. Technical Diploma or Certification:

- Diploma in Electronics or a relevant technical field (chip-level training preferred).

- Certifications like CompTIA A+ or similar may be beneficial.

2. Experience:

- 2-5 years of experience in chip-level repairs, especially on laptops and mobile devices.

3. Skills:

- Proficiency with tools like soldering irons, rework stations, multimeters, and oscilloscopes.

- Deep understanding of electronic circuits, ICs, and microprocessors.

- Ability to read and interpret schematics and board layouts.

4. Attention to Detail:

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in diagnosing and fixing issues.

5. Updated Knowledge:

- Stay up-to-date with the latest mobile and laptop technologies, including chipsets, architectures, and repair techniques.

6. Communication:

- Good communication skills to interact with clients and team members.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED1,500.00 - AED2,500.00 per month
