Assist in the preparation and presentation of dishes specific to your section (e.g., hot mezze, grill, oven, or cold section).
Follow standardized recipes and presentation guidelines to ensure consistency.
Ensure mise en place is prepared in advance for smooth service.
Support in cooking dishes during service, under the supervision of the Chef de Partie.
Hygiene & Safety
Follow all hygiene and food safety standards as per Dubai Municipality and HACCP guidelines.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area at all times.
Store food items appropriately and monitor expiry dates.
Team Support
Collaborate with chefs and kitchen team to ensure timely and quality service.
Take guidance and feedback from Chef de Partie and senior chefs for performance improvement.
Assist with receiving and proper storage of kitchen deliveries.
Inventory & Waste Control
Inform Chef de Partie of any shortages or quality issues.
Ensure minimal food wastage and proper use of ingredients.
Assist in tracking stock levels and reporting low stock items.
Qualifications & Experience:
Diploma or Certificate in Culinary Arts or equivalent.
1-2 years of experience in a similar role within a reputable restaurant or hotel.
Knowledge of Lebanese/Middle Eastern cuisine is a plus.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong knife skills and basic cooking techniques.
Knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene.
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
Good time management and organizational skills.
Willingness to learn and grow within the culinary team.
Working Conditions:
Fast-paced kitchen environment.
Must be willing to work split shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
