What You'll Do
Prepare and manage inventory lists for your station.
Demonstrate versatility by covering other stations when required, ensuring smooth operations.
Follow standard recipes and plating guides consistently to maintain food quality.
Submit daily market lists and check goods received for quality and quantity.
Assist in preparing recipes, costing, and special food promotions in collaboration with the Executive Sous Chef and Executive Chef.
Communicate effectively with outlet supervisors to ensure food items are well-presented and explained.
Control food wastage without compromising on quality.
Maintain operational documentation and log books.
Ensure proper grooming and adherence to hotel operational standards.
Support buffet set-up, food labeling, and refills during service.
Communicate essential information to the next shift or supervisor for seamless operations.
Assist guests in understanding dishes, recommending specialties and promotions.
Comply with HACCP standards and maintain cleanliness and safety of all equipment.
Ideal Profile
Diploma or degree in vocational hospitality or culinary arts.
1-2 years of experience in a 4-5 star hotel kitchen.
Thorough understanding of HACCP standards and food safety compliance.
Strong team spirit, communication skills, and a helpful attitude towards guests and colleagues.
Ability to manage buffet service, maintain food standards, and deliver consistently high-quality dishes.
Flexibility to support in other hotel areas when required.
