is responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality Indian dishes using fresh ingredients and proper culinary techniques. The role focuses on taste, presentation, hygiene, and efficient food preparation, ensuring a safe, clean, and well-organized kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a variety of non-vegetarian and vegetarian Indian menu items according to recipes and portion standards.
Handle and process meat, poultry, seafood, and other non-veg ingredients safely and hygienically.
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace.
Wash, chop, and prepare fresh vegetables, herbs, proteins, and other ingredients.
Ensure proper storage of raw and cooked food items to prevent contamination.
Assist in creating new dishes or improving existing menu offerings.
Monitor cooking times, temperatures, and techniques for consistency and quality.
Maintain hygiene and food safety standards as per FSSAI/food regulations.
Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth and timely meal service.
Manage inventory of vegetables, spices, proteins, and other kitchen supplies.
Assist in receiving and inspecting fresh supplies and ingredients.
Skills & Qualifications
Proven experience as a Cook, Line Cook, or similar role.
Strong knowledge of Indian cuisine (regional, traditional, or contemporary).
Understanding of food safety, sanitization, and handling of raw meat/seafood.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Basic knife skills and familiarity with standard kitchen equipment.
