The Position

As the Chapter Lead \xe2\x80\x9cStrategy and Business Innovation\xe2\x80\x9d you will lead a team of high performers, who take accountability for the development, experimentation and implementation of key strategic innovation topics, such as new business models, new business channels and collaboration models with internal and external partners.
You and your team will be guided by the overall strategic ambitions of Roche Diagnostics Middle East (RDME) and will closely collaborate with multiple stakeholders to translate and leverage external healthcare market trends into actionable initiatives for sustainable business growth for RDME and our business partners.
A strong focus of your chapter will be centered around the advancement and commercialisation of our \xe2\x80\x9cdigital solutions\xe2\x80\x9d.

Your main accountabilities:

Business Innovation:
-Build a collaboration model with Network leads, Chapters Leads and Foundation functions (and exiting resources inside or outside the subregion Middle East) to generate compelling business patterns that will enable the quick roll-out of all new innovative solutions that Roche launches, in a timely manner and with positive impact on P&L.
-Engage with regional and global stakeholders to build up consistent plans for adoption of new business innovation solutions (e.g: Roche Information Solution portofolio) into Middle East markets. Offer market feedback and bring Middle East opportunities closer to global teams.

-Primary focus will be on building Middle East plans for the Digital Solution from Roche Information Solutions - focusing on Provider Insights and collaboration with other chapters (like Access, Marketing Excellence etc) in bringing this products and solution to Middle East market
-Create a systematic and relevant approach focusing on capturing existing innovation from the market and translate that in leads towards Global and EMEA / Latam functions. Including (but not limited to) scouts and qualifies relevant (digital) health start-ups in the Middle East
-On scope are also New Business Models for existing portfolio (as exemple but not limited at - new market segments like pharmacies, home testing etc etc
-Ensure the organization systematically and constantly builds and enhances the necessary skills & resources related to chapter scope, required to deliver on its ambition (strategic workforce planning);
-Ensure Employee Experience in the Chapter i.e members have means and opportunity to develop, get the support they need to thrive and perform, and are engaged along organization strategy and chapter priorities;

Partnering:

-You search, identify opportunities in partnership and translate that in business models.
-Ensure propers Business Development Models are having resources and right partners that will enable faster market adoption (like IT infrastructure, etc)
-Collaborating with Network leads, Chapters Leads and outside existing partners in order to identify new partners (start-ups etc) that could enrich our Healthcare Transformation programs
-Ensure right partnership is in place (regionally) with pharmaceutical companies in order to deliver on our ambitions

Strategy:
-The chapter will lead the responsibilities in enabling and equipping the Roche Diagnostics Middle East governance bodies with a strategic framework in defining the RDME strategy
-Prepare, align and compile the right amount of information that will enable the follow up on Strategy Implementation and necessary actions
-Collaborating with Network leads, Chapters Leads and Transformation Squad in order to deliver on the strategic imperatives.

Additional responsibilities:
-Active member of new Operating Model of Roche Diagnostics Middle East (RDME)
-Provide the RDME with strategic guidance at your level and serve as the point of contact for the organization.
-Support and integrate the Group\xe2\x80\x99s Operating Principles into day-to-day business and decision making.

-Responsible for recruitment, integration and development of employees: anticipating market developments, hiring and developing new skills to prepare for the future

-Accountable for achieving the affiliate\xe2\x80\x99s business objectives, you coset the affiliate\xe2\x80\x99s priorities within the governance bodies and allocates the appropriate resources accordingly; and are responsible for balancing the workload and the occupational health and safety of your team members.
-Radically simplify processes and tools and contribute to continuous improvement by being personally involved in their maintenance and monitoring
-Commit and contribute to the achievement of RDME financial and profitability objectives
-Work together with others to create an environment where everyone feels a true sense of belonging and where people can thrive equally, no matter what it is that makes them unique
-Lead and perform under VACC model principles.

-Experience establishing partnerships across multiple countries, and across multiple diagnostic technologies/therapies
-A holistic mindset and understanding of Roche portfolio and business goals as well the Middle East Healthcare ecosystems (14 countries)

-Proven Strategic agility, including being able to create broad conceptual plans addressing major topics and translate them into key simplified messages and actions.
-Demonstrated success in managing complex strategic initiatives and cross-functional projects

Qualification and Experience
-University degree in relevant discipline required.
-10+ years of leadership experience operating in areas relevant to Healthcare solutions and products (deep understanding of IVD and pharmaceutical industry) aimed at the healthcare ecosystem.
-Proven knowledge and expertise in the area of focus and in the Middle East region.
-Proven ability to identify and mobilize resources, in a timely manner, that partner with value streams and others to achieve stated goals.
-Demonstrated ability to proactively identify, develop and execute strategies to build competences to be future-ready and best-in-class.
-Demonstrated ability to influence internal and external stakeholders with courageous authenticity and builds trust with individuals of all levels.
-Strong understanding of the digital healthcare landscape, globally and in the ME.
-Fluent English is mandatory
