The Cashier is responsible for providing excellent customer service by handling transactions accurately and efficiently. This role ensures smooth checkout operations, maintains a clean and organized work area, and supports overall store operations.
Key Responsibilities
Greet customers warmly and assist them during checkout.
Handle cash, credit, and digital payments accurately.
Issue receipts, refunds, and change as required.
Scan items, ensure pricing accuracy, and bag merchandise properly.
Maintain cleanliness and organization at the cashier station.
Answer customer inquiries and direct them to appropriate departments.
Monitor cash drawer levels and report discrepancies immediately.
Assist in stocking shelves and maintaining product displays when needed.
Follow company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
