The Car Garage Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the automotive service garage. This role ensures that all vehicle repair and maintenance tasks are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. The supervisor coordinates mechanics, manages workflow, ensures compliance with safety standards, and maintains customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate the activities of mechanics, technicians, and other garage staff.
Allocate jobs and workloads to staff based on skill level and urgency.
Inspect completed jobs to ensure quality standards and safety compliance.
Monitor inventory of tools, spare parts, and equipment; coordinate procurement when necessary.
Ensure proper use and maintenance of garage tools and equipment.
Schedule routine maintenance for garage equipment.
Monitor turnaround times and ensure timely delivery of vehicles.
Maintain records of repairs, services, parts usage, and customer interactions.
Assist in diagnosing complex vehicle issues and provide technical support to team members.
Enforce health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Provide on-the-job training and performance feedback to technicians.
Coordinate with the front office to update customers on job status and delivery timelines.
Handle customer complaints and ensure resolution to maintain service satisfaction.
