Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Cashier/Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in providing exceptional customer service while efficiently handling transactions and assisting with product demonstrations. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.

Duties

Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process transactions accurately and efficiently. Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and addressing concerns. Assist with merchandising and stocking shelves to ensure products are displayed attractively and are readily available for customers. Engage in upselling techniques to promote additional products and enhance the shopping experience. Conduct product demonstrations to educate customers about features and benefits. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area and sales floor. Handle cash transactions responsibly, ensuring accurate cash handling practices. Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and maintain store standards. Utilize retail math skills for inventory management and sales reporting.

Experience

Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred. Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership capabilities within a team environment. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, as effective communication with diverse customers is essential. Strong phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries over the phone is beneficial. Basic math skills are required for cash handling and transaction processing. Familiarity with grocery store operations is an advantage, along with knowledge of merchandising techniques.
