Job Description

An experienced C2 Operator Advisory Support to assist and advise the customer within the In Service Support contract in Abu Dhabi.

Your role

As C2 Operator Advisory Support your main task will be to support the customer in maximizing the utilization of the GlobalEye mission system, as well as with continuation training. You will be stationed at the squadron at Al Dhafra airbase in Abu Dhabi as an expatriate for about 2 years. The position is part of the international AEW&C (Airborne Early Warning & Control) project headed by Saab Surveillance. The Saab team on-site in UAE includes specialists on aircraft platforms, radar, EW, mission system, communications and ground systems.

As a C2 Operator Advisory Support you support and advise the customer in the daily operations, establish and perform continuous training as well as guide the customer's operators to maximize the utilization of C2. You work close together with Pilot Advisor and other Saab specialists on-site, and reports to the Operations Manager. The support to the customer also includes, but are not limited to, the following:

Support in maximizing the utilization of the Mission System

Support in drafting and updating manuals used by UAE AFAD

Support in drafting and updating course syllabus

Support in exercise planning and execution

Operating procedures

Continous training

Technical check flights

An important part of the commitment is to keep building and maintain customer satisfaction and relations. You will also contribute to the future development of the GlobalEye mission system by reporting performed work, observations and possible improvements back to Saab.

Your profile

You have experience of AEW&C operations. You are a team player and a skilled communicator who thrives in a global and complex environment. Your qualifications also consists of:

Knowledge of the GlobalEye System and its various airborne and ground-based sub-systems

Experience of and interest in sharing knowledge

Finding solutions to upcoming problems within your area of responsibility

Curious and eager to embrace new cultures, non-judgmental, flexibel and tolerant

Experience of working in an international environment and particular in the Middle East is favorable, as well as exceptional social skills including focus on customer needs.
