to join our culinary team in Qatar. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing all meat and poultry items according to specifications, ensuring high standards of hygiene, portioning, and presentation.
Key Responsibilities
Cut, trim, bone, and portion all types of meat and poultry in accordance with menu and operational requirements.
Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of meat products to maintain freshness and minimize waste.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the butchery section at all times, complying with HACCP and food safety regulations.
Work closely with chefs and the purchasing team to monitor stock levels and report shortages.
Assist in training junior staff and kitchen helpers in butchery techniques and safety standards.
Ensure tools and equipment are cleaned and maintained properly.
Follow company and kitchen SOPs and health guidelines as per Qatar's Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
Proven experience as a Butcher or in a similar role within a hotel, restaurant, or catering environment.
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a butcher or meat preparation position.
Knowledge of different cuts of meat, portion control, and preparation techniques.
Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices (HACCP certification preferred).
Ability to work under pressure and as part of a multicultural team.
Good communication skills in English; Arabic is a plus.
Valid QID and transferable visa (preferred).
