Role Summary: As a Business Development Manager (BDM), you will be responsible for driving new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and contributing to the growth of the agency. You'll identify and convert leads, pitch creative event solutions, and build long-term partnerships with key corporate clients. This role is suited to a self-starter with a strong network in the corporate events or experiential marketing space. Key Responsibilities:
Identify and target new business opportunities within corporate sectors (finance, tech, pharma, automotive, etc.).
Generate and manage a robust sales pipeline of qualified leads.
Respond to RFPs, lead pitches, and create compelling proposals in collaboration with the creative and production teams.
Build and maintain long-term relationships with decision-makers including Marketing Directors, Brand Managers, and Event Leads.
Attend industry networking events, trade shows, and conferences to promote the agency and generate leads.
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging event technologies to stay ahead.
Maintain accurate records of client interactions and pipeline activity via CRM.
Achieve and exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets.
Requirements:
5+ years of proven experience in a BDM or sales role within the events, experiential marketing, or agency environment.
Demonstrable success in securing high-value contracts and partnerships.
Strong understanding of the full event lifecycle from brief to delivery.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
A solid network of contacts within the corporate space.
Self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable working autonomously.
Experience working with cross-functional teams (creative, production, logistics).
Familiarity with CRM systems and sales reporting tools.
