Business Development Director (BDD) who is responsible for implementing the company\'s market entry and growth strategy in the pharmaceutical sector. The BDD will mainly focus on identifying potential investment, licensing, collaboration, and acquisitions that will enhance the company\'s product portfolio. The ideal candidate is expected to possess a strong scientific foundation to oversee technical due diligence, assess potential prospects, and recognize associated risks. This position demands a mix of strategic acumen, analytical rigor, and effective project management capabilities. Duty and Responsibilities: - Identifying Opportunities: Identifying licensing, partnership, and acquisition opportunities through networking and contacts within and outside the organization. - Early Assessment: Leading the early assessment and evaluation of potential opportunities and making decisions on whether to proceed with them. - Project Management: Creating a structured approach for managing multiple projects, guiding the problem-solving process, and ensuring that deliverables are met. - Due Diligence: Coordinating due diligence efforts for opportunities of interest and ensuring that assumptions are challenged and validated by relevant experts. - Negotiations: Leading negotiations of term sheets and contracts with identified partners in alignment with the CEO. - Agreement Execution: Managing the transition and execution of signed agreements according to legal obligations and deadlines. - Market Monitoring: Continuously monitor the market landscape to identify opportunities and adjust priorities as needed. Staying up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory guidelines, and mandates. - Team Management: Overseeing junior members of the corporate development team who support key projects. - Partnership Building: Building and sustaining both existing and new partnership relationships. - Industry Engagement: Attending industry-related events, scientific sessions, and conferences as assigned. - Compliance: Ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulations. Qualifications & Skills \xc2\xb7 A university degree in a relevant field. \xc2\xb7 More than 10 years of experience in pharma business development, preferably in generic pharmaceuticals. \xc2\xb7 A proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously. \xc2\xb7 Demonstrated experience in identifying, evaluating, and closing deals. \xc2\xb7 Strong knowledge of industry trends, regulatory standards, certifications, labeling, and other relevant topics. \xc2\xb7 Ability to create and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders. \xc2\xb7 Excellent negotiation and presentation skills. \xc2\xb7 Effective communication and project management skills with different levels of management and in multicultural environments. \xc2\xb7 Strong decision-making skills, and ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment with competing priorities. \xc2\xb7 Ability to problem-solve, plan, and prioritize effectively. \xc2\xb7 Ability to work efficiently and effectively independently and as a team member. \xc2\xb7 Computer proficiency. \xc2\xb7 Fluent in English (verbal/written) communication. \xc2\xb7 Availability to travel regionally and internationally when required.
