The Role
We are currently looking for a Business Development Director to work across our strategic business units in the Middle East. As a member of the Operations Team, you will be working with the Managing Directors and senior staff across the Middle East offices as well as with the wider Business Development team in EMEA. You will be acting as a key account manager for new and existing clients with a view to supporting generation of new business opportunities and reporting into the senior management. You will be supported by one other members of the Operations Team dedicated to Business Development.
The Responsibilities
Client relationship and key account management
Target client and relationship mapping
Work with senior management to design and implement an improved internal BD function to generate and monitor deal flow
Map, monitor and research key clients, relationships, sector areas and report accordingly
Be proactive in the marketplace, developing relationships alongside senior staff and assisting in winning new clients and generating new business opportunities
Ensure regional and SBU specific credentials are accurate and well maintained
Support the expansion of our business through broadening our routes to market, and work with our Middle East leadership group to leverage senior relationships across our client base.
Pitch & proposal management.
Maintain & update marketing collateral, case study databases and support A&M teams on external client proposals and pitches, and prepare business development slides
Own, maintain and update various information databases, such as Salesforce
Maintain & develop pipeline dashboards and provide analysis and interpretation of data
Deliver periodic KPIs from Salesforce and input into the annual review process
Report on business development costs and conversion rates
Organise client centric events in liaison with the Marketing team
The Requirements
We are looking for people who have:
Extensive experience in Business Development within a leading Middle East advisory firm with a proven track record of: key account management; support to senior professional staff in developing and monitoring opportunity pipelines; and generation if new client relationships and assignments
Well-developed interpersonal skills combined with the ability to create strong working relationships at all levels
Ability to take ownership of deliverables and work to tight deadlines in combination with a positive attitude, energetic approach and self-motivation
Strong communication and analytical capabilities with excellent attention to detail
Good Excel and PowerPoint skills
Experience with a CRM system, ideally Salesforce
Fluency in English is essential. Fluency in Arabic is desirable but not essential
