JOB OBJECTIVE

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Business Continuity Specialist to join our organization. As a Business Continuity Specialist, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive business continuity and disaster recovery plans. Your role will involve identifying potential risks, creating strategies to mitigate those risks, and ensuring the organization\'s ability to respond effectively in the event of disruptions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of business continuity principles, risk management, and disaster recovery planning.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Develop and update business continuity plans to ensure the organization\'s resilience in the face of various disruptions, including natural disasters, technological failures, and other emergencies.
• Conduct business impact assessments to identify critical business processes and their dependencies.
• Identify potential risks and vulnerabilities that could impact business operations.
• Analyze and assess the impact of identified risks on business functions.
• Establish and implement business continuity policies and procedures.
• Work closely with key stakeholders to ensure that business continuity practices align with organizational objectives.
• Provide training and awareness programs to ensure that employees understand their roles and responsibilities in the event of a business disruption.
• Conduct regular drills and exercises to test the effectiveness of business continuity plans.
• Serve as the primary point of contact during business disruptions and coordinate the organization\'s response efforts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to minimize the impact of incidents and ensure a swift recovery.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of business continuity plans, procedures, and incident response activities.
• Generate reports on the effectiveness of business continuity measures and present findings to senior management.
• Conduct regular reviews and updates of business continuity plans to address evolving risks and changes in the business environment.
• Recommend improvements to enhance the organization\'s overall resilience.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in business Continuity Management, Risk Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Minimum Experience:

• Proven experience in business continuity planning and disaster recovery.
• Strong knowledge of industry best practices, standards, and frameworks related to business continuity (e.g., ISO 22301).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to assess risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
• Certification in business continuity (e.g., CBCP, CBCI) is a plus.
