. This role requires a high level of technical proficiency, coordination across multiple disciplines, and expertise in managing complex architectural and structural BIM documentation. You will collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to deliver high-quality, fully integrated models and technical outputs.
Key Responsibilities
BIM Modeling & Documentation
Develop and maintain precise 3D BIM models using Autodesk Revit for aluminum facades and/or structural steel systems.
Generate complete drawing sets including shop, fabrication, and construction documentation (plans, elevations, sections, and details).
Design Coordination
Collaborate with in-house and external teams to ensure coordinated multidisciplinary model integration.
Update models and drawings based on client feedback, engineering changes, and site conditions.
Model Management & Quality Assurance
Adhere to BIM execution plans, standards, and protocols while maintaining accurate and updated project models.
Conduct clash detection using Navisworks and actively participate in coordination meetings to resolve issues.
Analysis & Quantification
Extract quantity take-offs and support procurement and cost estimation processes.
Assist in linking BIM data with 4D scheduling and 5D cost control systems, if applicable.
Stakeholder Engagement
Participate in client and consultant meetings, delivering clear technical presentations and BIM model reviews.
Work closely with project managers to ensure deliverables meet quality, accuracy, and deadline expectations.
Team Support & Training
Mentor junior BIM technicians and contribute to knowledge sharing, process improvement, and internal standards development.
Required Qualifications
Experience:
3-5 years of experience in BIM modeling, specifically in aluminum facade systems or structural steel detailing.
Software Skills:
Expert in Autodesk Revit; proficiency with Navisworks, AutoCAD, and ideally Tekla Structures.
Technical Knowledge:
Strong grasp of fabrication and installation methods, and a deep understanding of architectural and structural systems.
Documentation Skills:
Ability to produce coordinated, detailed, and construction-ready shop drawings.
Standards Familiarity:
Knowledge of regional and international BIM standards, codes, and construction documentation protocols.
Communication:
Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to collaborate effectively across disciplines.
