Billing Assistant

Job Description

The Billing Assistant supports IIQAF\xe2\x80\x99s revenue and accounts receivable functions by providing assistance to the accounting team and by handling customer billing queries.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • With direction from the Accounting team filing, scanning, tracking, and entering invoicing information into accounting systems.
  • Update customer accounts (such as addresses, contact information, payment history, etc.)
  • Prepare and mail out invoices according to customer terms
  • Process customer payments accurately and timely
  • Communicate directly with customers via phone, email, or in person to answer billing questions
  • Research and resolve billing issues
  • Prepare bank deposits
  • Perform administrative tasks related to customer ordering, billing, and collections
  • Assist with account reconciliations
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and procedures
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines
  • Excellent customer service attitude
  • Proficiency with accounting software programs
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles
  • Previous experience in billing or accounts receivable preferred
