Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Barista to manage daily cafe operations, prepare a wide variety of beverages and food items, and ensure excellent customer service. The role includes overseeing inventory, processing purchase orders, and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and efficiency in the workspace.

Key Responsibilities:

Beverage Preparation:

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including espresso-based drinks, brewed coffee, teas, and specialty coffees.

Food Preparation:

Prepare and assemble sandwiches, light snacks, and other cafe menu items according to hygiene and presentation standards.

Operations Management:

Oversee daily operations of the cafe, ensuring smooth workflow and customer satisfaction.

Customer Service:

Provide prompt, friendly, and professional service to all customers; handle queries and resolve issues efficiently.

Purchase Orders & Inventory:

Monitor stock levels, place and process purchase orders for supplies and ingredients, and ensure timely restocking.

Equipment Handling:

Safely operate espresso machines, grinders, ovens, and other food and beverage equipment.

Cash Handling:

Process transactions accurately using the POS system and maintain cash register balances.

Cleanliness & Hygiene:

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation, kitchen area, and customer seating zones; follow all health and safety regulations.

Team Support:

Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality service and assist with opening and closing duties.

Qualifications & Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent. Proven experience as a Barista or in a cafe environment. Hands-on experience with a range of coffee types and brewing methods. Knowledge of sandwich and snack preparation. Strong operational and inventory management skills. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to work under pressure and multitask effectively. Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays. Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
