Reports directly to Head Baker, Baker CDP, and Executive Chef. Baker Commis Service is primarily responsible for assisting the HB in the preparation of different types of bread, including artisan and heritage techniques as well as a wide range of pastries such as cookies, cakes, and pies.
Has an understanding of Bakery kitchen equipment and is able to use it properly and safely. Follows recipes and techniques, as demonstrated by HB.
Is responsible for presenting and communicating transparent inputs that will both represent the vision, values, and full offerings of The Bridge Lifestyle Hub.
This intends to highlight the most critical areas of responsibility only and does not cover all aspects of the position.
| KEY RESPONSIBILITIES | OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE
  • Accurately measures meal ingredients for the Head Baker.
  • Receives deliveries and verifies that all ordered items have been delivered and are of good quality.
  • Is able to take inventory of bakery supplies and notifies the supervisor of low or depleted supplies.
  • Discards expired and spoiled food items stored in the stock rooms, refrigerators, and freezers. Communicates executed actions to Track Manager and supervisor.
  • Understands the importance and need of following Technical recipe sheets meticulously as well as the baking techniques.
  • Assists HB and B-CDP in their duties to complete smooth operation.

| ADMINISTRATION
  • Complies with completion of Food and Safety as well as Waste and Breakage forms as instructed by the Track Manager.
  • Fills daily duties checklists and activity log.
  • Supports and participates in audits being carried out by Abu Dhabi Municipality and Health Authority.
| INTERNAL & EXTERNAL CUSTOMER SERVICE
  • Supports and promotes all initiatives carried by the Marketing | PR team.
  • Provides a clear and concise description of services, products, facilities, and Tracks.
  • Performs any reasonable task required that might be outside the job scope in the spirit of collaboration.
| SUSTAINED LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT
  • Participates in TB training sessions and communication briefings on a monthly, weekly, and daily basis.
  • Maximizes opportunities for self-development to upgrade his/her knowledge and skills by actively participating in TB internal and external initiatives and App.
| HYGIENE & SAFETY
  • Maintains a high level of personal hygiene, seeks feedback on areas of a shortfall and complies with the Grooming procedures.
  • Complies with all Health & Safety regulations while performing daily duties at all times.
  • Takes responsibility for reporting any hazard and follows up to ensure the execution of required actions.
  • Is aware of allergens used in each recipe and seeks guidance if any clarity is required.
| POSITION REQUIREMENTS | EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Courses in the following integrated modalities will add value to the preferred candidate. Please send any additional qualifications, interests, and experiences that contribute to your holistic lifestyle.
  • At least a High school diploma or a GED.
  • Proven commercial kitchen experience - 2 years.
  • Strong knowledge of food health and safety regulations.
  • Must understand, communicate in English and carry out instructions in oral or written format.
  • Fit to stand for extended periods.
  • Must be able to understand recipes, measuring, and basic kitchen techniques.
  • Willing to learning new skills.
  • Resourceful, forward-thinking, innovative, and committed.
  • Must be willing to add value to enhance health, safety, and productivity as well as maintain TB to thrive on being a smoke-free workplace.
  • Experienced in being an integral point of contact for esteemed Bridge customers.
