We are looking to hire below bakery chefs to expand our growing business: - Chef Baker - Demi Chef Baker - Commis chefs Responsibilities

• Prepare a wide variety of items such as Croissants, baguets, cereal breads, fusette, cakes, cookies, pies, bread etc. following standard recipes
• Create new and exciting desserts to renew our menus and engage the interest of customers
• Decorate pastries using different icings, toppings etc. to ensure the presentation will be beautiful and exciting
• Monitor stocks for baking ingredients such as flour, sugar etc. and make appropriate orders within budget
• Check quality of material and condition of equipment and devices used for cooking
• Guide and motivate pastry assistants and bakers to work more efficiently

Requirements

• Degree or Higher National Diploma in Hospitality/Culinary arts is preferred.
• Experience as Chef in a hotel, high volume restaurant or catering company with highest levels of service is preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience working in a 5-star hotel or free standing restaurant environment.
• Solid Knowledge in preparing, baking, presenting dishes.
• Excellent knowledge of using various relevant cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and processes.
• Ability to work long hours with a strong focus on operational excellence.
• Perform job with attention to details and the ability to organize and handle multiple tasks.
• Strong knowledge of HACCP.
• Competent computer skills including MS Office or equivalent.

License/Certification:

• Food Handling Certificate (Preferred)
