Job Summary

We are seeking a sharp, analytical, and decisive Auction Purchaser to manage the acquisition of vehicles for our auction inventory. We are particularly interested in candidates with 2-3 years of experience gained in the

United Arab Emirates (UAE) automotive market

. The ideal candidate will have a proven understanding of vehicle valuations and a passion for the auction environment. You will be responsible for making rapid, data-driven purchasing decisions to acquire a diverse and desirable inventory for our US-based buyers.

Key Responsibilities:

Source and purchase vehicles through various channels, including direct purchases from dealers, rental companies, fleet operators, and other consignors. Analyze US vehicle market data, auction trends, and vehicle condition reports (e.g., Manheim's Condition Reports) to make informed, real-time bidding and purchasing decisions. Quickly adapt knowledge of international vehicle values (e.g., GCC specs) to the US wholesale market. Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with a network of sellers to ensure a consistent pipeline of quality vehicles. Conduct vehicle appraisals (in-lane and online) to determine accurate US market value and establish maximum bid prices. Work towards key performance indicators (KPIs) including inventory turnover, profit per unit, and sales conversion. Collaborate with the recon, sales, and operations teams to ensure a seamless flow of vehicles from purchase to sale.

Qualifications and Skills:

Required:

Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a purchaser, appraiser, or buyer in a wholesale

automotive auction environment

.

Highly Desired:

Direct experience within the

UAE/GCC automotive market

, with an understanding of popular makes, models, and regional vehicle specifications. A keen eye for detail and the ability to accurately assess vehicle condition and value rapidly. Strong analytical and negotiation skills with a results-driven mindset. Proficiency with data analysis and comfort using auction and pricing software (e.g., Mannheim Market Report, Black Book, etc.). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse clients. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure, and constantly changing environment. Must be a self-starter and a strong team player.
