JOB TITLE
Associate Manager - Legal | MAF Retail | UAE Corporate Head Office
ROLE SUMMARY
The Associate - Legal (Paralegal) provides core legal support to the Legal Department including research, documentation, drafting, and the administrative management and maintenance of legal documents to enable timely, accurate, and compliant delivery of legal services.
ROLE PROFILE

• Assist the team by preparing draft contracts, agreements and notices as required in a timely manner and ensuring that they are compliant with internal standards and legal requirements.
• Review and proofread contracts and other legal documents for terms and conditions that may be areas of concern, clarity of content and grammar, and escalate identified issues for subsequent review and action.
• Assist Junior/ Senior Legal counsel with Arabic/English document comparison.
• Assist Junior/ Senior Legal counsel in leases execution when required.
• Working with legal translators and reviewing outputs when required.
• Conduct legal research and keep abreast of all regulatory and local law related updates / changes which might impact the legal terms and conditions for contracts and provide summaries and reference sources for Counsel review. Study constitution, statutes, decisions, regulations, and ordinances of government bodies to determine ramifications for legal issues related to the company.
• Archive various legal approvals and transaction details in a manner that enables ease of reference for subsequent use.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in law
• Fluency in both Arabic and English (written & spoken) is mandatory
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a paralegal or legal support role in a service oriented organization in GCC region, preferably in UAE with demonstrable experience supporting contract and lease documentation.
• Excellent communication skills with clarity in written summaries and escalations.
