The 26-floor hotel has a curved design which represents the shape of a breaking wave and offers pristine private beaches with undisturbed views of the Arabian Gulf.

About the Role:

An opportunity has arisen for Associate Director of Sales to join the Sales & Marketing department at Jumeirah Beach Hotel. The main purpose of the role is to ensure achievement of the financial targets for the hotel and that the Sales team achieve its budgeted goals and individual targets. Build and maintain positive relationships with key partners and set and monitor strategic goals. Fully endorse Jumeirah\'s Brand and Image with linking corporate policy and strategy with all the Sales teams across the world and to JBH as a SBU.

The main duties and responsibilities of this role:

Sets and monitors annual commercial plan goals and sales targets with SMART KPIs.

Provides leadership in entrepreneurial sales activities for self and the team.

Ensures departmental policies and procedures are in place and adhered to.

Ensures Jumeirah Brand Standards are adhered to.

Continuously reviews procedures and processes within the department to achieve maximum profit, productivity, and efficiency.

Continuously reviews product and branding to ensure we are selling creatively and offering a more innovative edge over our competitors.

Always maintains a high standard of personal appearance.

Liaises with relevant departments to ensure all customer needs and requests are met.

Maintains effective communication, with regular 1-2-1 and team meetings.

Identifies and builds productive relationships with business partners.

Leads the creation of flexible solutions to attract new and potential customers.

Coaches and is a mentor for the Sales team.

Complies with all regional reporting requirements in the said timeframe.

Represents the hotel at Road Shows, Trade Shows and management events.

Conducts site inspections and entertainment for Sales.

Determines and implements the balance of business mix into the hotel.

Provides on the job and external training for colleagues in the department as required.

Maintains a current knowledge of Jumeirah products and services to cross sell and assist across the entire company.

Any other duties as may reasonably be requested by the management.

Submit weekly sales call plan & entertainment plans for pro-active team the following week to DOSM.

To produce sales call report in sales force after each sales call and update the client details whenever there is a change in their details so to ensure our database is always up to date.

Ensure the sales team is utilizing sales force and all other tools as per the company guidelines.

To reply to all quotations within 12 hours and with the rate guidelines given by the Director of Revenue. If rates are outside of approved rate guidelines, approval from the Director of Revenue and the Director of Sales & Marketing is required.

Plan and execute a series of familiarization tours to profile the resort and engage with clients for leisure business.

Responsible for appraisals and disciplinary actions with direct reports.

Maintains its knowledge of markets and competitor products to be agile and assess opportunities and risks.

Assists the DOSM in budget and forecast exercises.

Manages the UK, Australia, India & Chinese markets and maintains the lead for the top DMC accounts to maximize strategic goals.

About you:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

Qualifications

Bachelor\'s Degree in Tourism or Sales

Excellent Communication and Written Skills

Experience

At least 3 years in a Leadership role in the luxury hotel company.

In-depth experience understanding of the leisure multi market.

Skills and Competencies

Candidate must have a solid understanding of luxury travel, UK, China, Australia & Indian markets, knowledge of European markets desirable.

Good understanding of core hotel operations.

Strong communication and writing skills.

Strong problem solving and analytical thinking skills.

Time management skills.
