Jumeirah Muscat Bay Resort lies 15 minutes south of the city centre and 40 minutes from Seeb International Airport. The overall development will include a 1,200 square meters Talise Spa, a diving centre, a wide range of sports and leisure facilities, a selection of restaurants, bars and cafes and a kids club. The resort will also include conference and banquet facilities to cater for Oman's growing attraction as a destination for conferences, meetings and large-scale events. The resort forms part of a larger development that includes 300 high-end residential townhouses and villas, taking advantage of some of the most beautiful, unspoilt coastline in the Middle East. About the role An exciting role has arisen for a talented Assistant Reservations Manager Role to join the pre-opening and Reservations department at Jumeirah Muscat Bay Resort. The main purpose of this role is to ensuring all rates, programs and inventory are available at the right price and the right time with guidance from Senior Revenue Manager and hotel selling strategy and actively contributes to the hotel selling strategy. Your key responsibilities will include: To ensure all rates and programmes are loaded as per company policy and brand standards Maintains accurate system information in all systems relevant to both rates and descriptions Ensures rate parity through daily competition check and check of channel pricing Ensures strict inventory management is in place to maximise revenues, achieve financial targets and ensure customer satisfaction Maintains the transient rooms inventory for the resort and is responsible for maximizing transient revenue through the effective use of Opera and Synxis. Ensures daily reports are correct and issues in a timely manner and adheres to company policy Ensures allotments are in place and all standards are adhered to in relation to release periods and materialization Identifies changes in trends when applicable Ensures releases group rooms back into general inventory and ensures clean booking windows for customers Ensures group room blocks are controlled and are following contractual release periods to ensure space is opened up for transient demand Highlights discrepancies in market segmentations and ensures quality of reservations is correct and standards are followed Trains where required colleagues to ensure standards are understood and followed Ensures team members have current knowledge for all relevant processes, policies and promotions to perform their duties. Assists in weekly forecasting of rooms revenue Implementing and recognising potential opportunities within the system to enhance hotel performance F&B and Spa revenue management implementation and maintenance About You In order to be considered for this role, you should have the below qualifications and experiences. Apprenticeship/long-term training in Hotel or Hospitality Management Diploma in Hotel Administration At least 2 years' experience in Reservations, Front Office Operations, Revenue Administrator or similar Fully knowledgeable of Opera, SynXis or similar CRS Language requirements -Arabic, French and German beside the English language About the Benefits This position offers a highly competitive salary and package which includes; housing, flight tickets, medical and dental coverage, life and accident insurance, retail and leisure discounts, discounts on Jumeirah F&B Outlets and reduced hotel rates.
