Jumeirah Muscat Bay Resort lies 15 minutes south of the city centre and 40 minutes from Seeb International Airport. The overall development will include a 1,200 square meters Talise Spa, a diving centre, a wide range of sports and leisure facilities, a selection of restaurants, bars and cafes and a kids club. The resort will also include conference and banquet facilities to cater for Oman's growing attraction as a destination for conferences, meetings and large-scale events. The resort forms part of a larger development that includes 300 high-end residential townhouses and villas, taking advantage of some of the most beautiful, unspoilt coastline in the Middle East. About the role An exciting role has arisen for a talented smart Assistant HR Manager Role to join Jumeirah Muscat Bay Resort. The main purpose of this role is to deliver strategic and added value HR actions at Jumeirah Muscat Bay. To act as a business partner driving the achievement of the group's objectives and colleague engagement levels. To also lead the operational HR team in the provision of added value HR excellence that makes Jumeirah a preferred employer whilst demonstrating commercial awareness. Your key responsibilities will include: Provide leadership, direction, and support to the Director of HR in order to increase knowledge, skills set and share best practice. Develop and drive the SSU HR Strategy in line with the Director of HR, General Manager and the Regional HR direction and monitor its execution to ensure achievement of the objectives Drive the continuous improvement agenda with particular focus on maximizing productivity, devolving HR responsibilities, and building leadership capability through the senior and middle management teams. Ensure free flow of two-way communication between Jumeirah Muscat Bay HR and Regional HR and internal communications are coordinated to colleagues receive relevant and timely messages in an appropriate style. Plan and Deploy the annual HR budget and capex process and ensure direct reports' P&L are well managed and monitored. Propose changes to organizational structures using best practice organizational development principles to provide the most appropriate structure to support future growth and flexible labour. Ensure National Development initiatives are well communicated and fully supported. Consult on workforce planning activities in order to optimize staffing levels, productivity and service standards in the most cost-effective manner Regularly analyze and review HR statistics to identify trends so that attention can be directed to key issues and resources adjusted accordingly Take responsibility for the recruitment and selection of all colleagues in order to ensure effective hiring decisions with hands-on involvement at senior management level. Oversee the ongoing rollout and maintenance of the HR automation suite to ensure business needs are identified, met, and continually reviewed to support productivity and streamlining of processes Ensure Colleague Opinion Survey results are communicated, analyzed and action plans are developed and reviewed on a regular basis to improve colleagues' working and living conditions Ensure Colleague Consultative Committee "One Team" function is deployed effectively Advise on HR policy, Omani labour legislation and Global HR Best Practice. Ensure all activities in performance management process are effectively executed so that colleagues have the opportunity to participate, receive feedback and given opportunities to develop. Coordinate & drive talent management process in order to ensure talent management is fully embraced and the benefits fully realized Regularly coach, mentor and support senior and high potential colleagues to identify individual strengths and development needs, develop and maintain effective relationships and encourage retention. To provide coaching, counselling & disciplinary support. To plan, drive and deploy colleague recognition, reward & engagement activities. Ensure training programs and development opportunities are deployed at a consistently high standard, aligned with business needs and Jumeirah culture. About You In order to be considered for this role, you should have the below qualifications and experiences.

Bachelor or Diploma in HR Management Minimum 5 years in a generalist HR role in a 5 star hotel of at least HR Executive or above Minimum 2 years supervising or managing a team (any discipline) Minimum 2 years hospitality experience (operational or support areas) Middle East experience Must have an excellent command of the English language - written and spoken, computer literate, possess exceptional accuracy and speed in typing and has the ability to perform self-initiated correspondence. Is honest, helpful and able to work under pressure. Speaks an international language Must have excellent communication skills Microsoft Office proficiency Analytical skills Critical thinking skills Excellent coordination and delegating skills Project Management Able to Multi Task Out going and assertive Good Listener
