Job Description

Assistant Quantity Surveyor
Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE
Reports To: Quantity Surveyor
Job Purpose:
To provide comprehensive support to the Quantity Surveyor in all measurement, documentation, and administrative tasks, facilitating efficient commercial management of the project.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist in taking off quantities from drawings for subcontractor procurement and monthly valuations.
Prepare drafts of subcontractor payment certificates and variation orders.
Maintain and update key commercial registers: Subcontractor Commitments, Variation Order Register, Material on Site Register, etc.
Collect, file, and organize all supporting documents for cost reports and claims (site records, delivery notes, approvals).
Perform site measurements for verification of progress or variations.
Assist in the preparation of cost data and comparison sheets for new procurement packages.
Handle the day-to-day correspondence and documentation flow related to subcontractors and suppliers.

Qualifications & Experience:

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying.
3-5 years of experience in a similar support role within a contracting environment in the UAE.
Good understanding of construction drawings and basic measurement principles.
Proficient in MS Excel and AutoCAD for measurement.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learn.
