About the Role:

An opportunity has arisen for an assistant manager to join the Dhow & Anchor team at Jumeirah Beach Hotel.

The main responsibilities are:

  • Responsible for managing all aspects of the outlet including the selection, development, and performance management of colleagues, optimizing profits, and increasing sales.
  • Procedures are met and value is added to the F & B objectives as detailed in the F& B Department Performance Plan
  • Actively implement strategies to increase the market share of the outlet.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction and respond to customer feedback and complaints ensuring JI & MJ procedures for CSI and Complaint Handling are followed
  • Develop, maintain & actively use a database of customer details/ history and other strategies that assist in guest recognition
  • Advise the F&B management of any improvements needed in relation to restaurants operation including updates to SOPs or addition/ deletion of SOPs
  • Actively implement strategies to increase the market share for the Outlet
  • Conduct performance evaluation of colleagues, training of colleagues, guidance, coaching and counselling of colleagues
  • Ensure that colleagues are aware of the relevance and importance of their activities and how they contribute to the department objectives detailed in the F&B Department Performance Plan
  • Determine the necessary competence for colleagues and provide training or other actions to satisfy these needs
  • Provide constant coaching, counselling, and discipline to colleagues to ensure their capability to meet the needs of the customer and the organization
  • Ensure the management and competence level of selected colleagues is sufficient for the department to meet the needs of the organization and customer
About you:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
  • Hotel School Degree or diploma or equivalent
  • Train the Trainer, Wine training, Upselling skills training etc.
  • 2 years min. in a similar role in a minimum 5 * international 'pub' environment-
  • A total of 4-5 years Food and Beverage Experience
  • Experience working in a large, multi-cultural environment
  • Fluency in a second language (other than English)
  • Knowledge and keen interest in major sports.
