About the Role:

An opportunity has arisen for Assistant Outlet Manager to join the French Brasserie- Bastion Restaurant at Jumeirah Beach Hotel.

The Purpose of this role is to assist the Outlet Manager to plan, organize and direct all processes of the outlet to ensure the outlet provides quality food and beverage service. Provides excellent service to ensure customer expectations are exceeded.

The main duties and responsibilities of this role:

  • Ensures that all colleagues activities adhere to and support the Jumeirah Quality Standards
  • Sets a personal example of the right conduct and behavior for an open eyed, respected, and effective management of the La Parrilla Restaurant.
  • Actively promotes the use of up-selling techniques within outlet to exceed guest expectations and increase revenue by providing specialist advice on food and beverages.
  • Monitors all aspects of food and beverage quality and hygiene and takes immediate corrective action when required and informs the Outlet Manager.
  • Assists the Outlet Manager in developing and mentoring a colleague with high potential for the benefit of the company.
  • Assists the Outlet Manager in reviewing, assessing and implementation of the restaurant standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain optimum stock levels to ensure smooth running of operations to cater to guest's demand.
  • Participate in staffing requirements for the outlet to ensure the right caliber of staff is selected to meet company objectives. Also manage staff schedules to ensure optimum staffing at all times.
  • Maintain hygiene standards and monitor regular quality checks for the outlet.
  • Takes full responsibility for the outlet in the absence of the Outlet Manager.
  • May require to assists in producing and conducting F&B training as part of F&B colleagues' development.
About you:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
  • High School Graduate or Diploma in Hotel Catering
  • Detailed Food & beverage knowledge within a Quality Luxury Brand
  • Fluent in English written and spoken
  • Excellent presentation and social etiquette
  • Physically fit and able to work under pressure
  • Self-motivated, high achiever, Strong leadership, Responsible & accountable
  • Committed and passionate about F&B
  • Ability to build strong client relationships
  • Dynamic, energetic, and creative individual
  • Knowledge of at least one European language (Italian, French, Spanish, German, etc.)
  • Worked or interned in a leading luxury 5-star hotel / brand for at least 3 years
  • Minimum 1 year as an Assistant Restaurant Manager
  • Previous experience in high quality restaurant
  • Experience in Managing multi-cultural work force
  • Have worked in a fine dining restaurant
  • Creative / flexible / open minded approach
  • Attention to detail oriented & Team Player
