Job Description

s includes:-

Coffee profile development

Roasting coffee on coffee equipment as part of the R&D process Batch Roasters Sample Roasters Designing and documenting roast profiles for all existing and new coffee blends.

Control gas fired roasters to remove moisture from coffee beans.

Manage roasting process from selecting profile to scheduling to packaging to ensure on time customer delivery.

Set, adjust, and observe temperature and time controls for roasting process and to maintain required temperature.

Inspect each roast for company specs, adjust as necessary to roast and observe equipment.

Record roast data, weights, coffee types.

Verify roasters are working and trouble shoots when problems arise with the machines.

Performing weekly ACO (automatic clean out), ensuring the roasters are burned out, inspected and maintenance.

Maintain clean and safe work environment.

Make sure Transfer sheets are followed and documented

Record Wastage and Manage it

Create roasting plans during peak months

Present initiative and present innovation to improve work efficiency in the production

Technical Competencies

Extensive knowledge of operating different roasting machines Knowledge of

Cropsters

and other software used for roasting Basic troubleshooting and maintenance skills of the roasting machine
