Accounts Payable Accountant
with strong experience in theconstruction field (mandatory)
to join our finance team.Key Responsibilities:
Process supplier & subcontractor invoices and verify supporting documents (PO, Contract, Delivery Notes, Work Completion Certificates) Match invoices with
Material Issue Vouchers (MIV)
and site approvals Reconcile supplier & subcontractor statements and resolve discrepancies Prepare payment vouchers and support payment runs (cheques, bank transfers, online banking) Track retention amounts and release payments as per contract terms Maintain supplier ledger and ensure accurate posting to cost centers/projects Review three quotations and support procurement price approvals (as per policy) Coordinate with site engineers, procurement, and stores for deliveries & GRVs Assist with monthly accruals and closing activities Support VAT compliance and documentationRequirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
3-5 years experience in Accounts Payable within construction industry (UAE experience preferred)
Strong knowledge in handlingsuppliers, subcontractors, and project cost allocations
Proficient in banking transactions and online payment processing ERP experience (Priority, SAP, Oracle, or similar) Strong Excel and documentation skills Attention to detail, accuracy, and time managementJob Type: Full-time
