Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified Accountant with trading experience for our client, a solar products distributor based in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE. The ideal candidate will manage financial operations while leveraging their understanding of trading environments to optimize financial processes specific to the distribution business.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain accurate financial records and prepare financial statements Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes Manage inventory accounting and reconciliation for solar product distribution Process import/export documentation and related financial transactions Monitor cash flow and prepare forecasts Assist in budgeting and financial planning Ensure compliance with UAE financial regulations and tax requirements Prepare and file VAT returns and other regulatory reports Support financial analysis for trading operations and inventory management Develop and implement financial controls specific to distribution operations
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in trading or distribution Previous experience in the UAE market, particularly Ras Al Khaimah Strong understanding of import/export financial procedures Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems Knowledge of inventory valuation methods and supply chain operations Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Relevant Certifications

ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants)

or

CPA (Certified Public Accountant)

- Core accounting qualifications recognized globally

CIA (Certified Internal Auditor)

- Valuable for implementing internal controls

CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants)

- Particularly relevant for trading operations
Additional Skills

Knowledge of UAE Commercial Company Law and VAT regulations Experience with solar industry or renewable energy sector (preferred) Understanding of international trade terms and procedures
