The Accountant will oversee and maintain accurate financial records, manage day-to-day transactions, and ensure proper integration and use of the Odoo ERP system. This role requires strong analytical skills and a good understanding of both inventory and service-based accounting.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES, ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ACTIVITIES
General
Record and maintain daily financial transactions, including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments across all branches.
Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
Maintain accurate records of income and expenditure.
Enter and verify all accounting data within the Odoo system.
Support branch and warehouse managers with financial data interpretation and reporting.
Coordinate with the Sales and Operations team for costing and inventory valuation.
Monitor inventory movements and ensure proper accounting treatment of material transfers and consumption.
Ensure accurate invoicing of sales and purchases in the system.
Liaise with suppliers, customers, and internal teams for payments, collections, and account clarifications.
Regularly update Dropbox with relevant financial documents.
Monitor and reconcile petty cash; ensure proper documentation and approval of all vouchers.
Prepare monthly payroll and ensure timely salary payments to employees.
Assist in internal and external audits.
Aid the Finance Head in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
BACKGROUND, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
3 to 5 years of experience (preferably in service or manufacturing).
Skills
Proficiency in using Odoo ERP and MS Office.
Strong analytical skills.
Good understanding of inventory and service-based accounting.
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
