Accountant (Jewellery Industry Experience Required)
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant with a strong background in the jewellery industry. The ideal candidate must be familiar with jewellery-related accounting processes, stock management, taxation, and daily financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day accounting tasks including entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting. Handle
gold and diamond stock accounting
, barcode/sku accuracy, and inventory reconciliation. Monitor daily sales, purchase records, and ensure proper documentation. Prepare VAT/taxation reports and ensure compliance with financial regulations. Track payables, receivables, and coordinate with suppliers and stores. Assist in month-end and year-end closing. Prepare financial statements and support audits. Maintain accurate records and ensure proper accounting of jewellery movement between stores and sections.Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Minimum 3-5 years of accounting experience, with mandatory experience in a jewellery company. Strong understanding of jewellery stock handling, costing, and inventory control. Proficiency in accounting systems (ERP/Tally/QuickBooks). Strong analytical and reporting skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Good communication skills
