We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced
Accountant
to manage and oversee the financial records and accounting processes of our Jewellery operations. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate tracking of income and expenses, maintain daily cash reports, reconcile accounts, and support the management team with financial insights for decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and record
daily sales, purchases, and cash flow transactions
Prepare and reconcile
bank statements, cashbooks, and petty cash
Maintain
accurate general ledger entries
for expenses, revenue, and inventory
Track and reconcile
supplier accounts and customer credit accounts
Monitor
stock valuation
and cost of goods sold in collaboration with the inventory team
Prepare
monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
Ensure
VAT compliance and timely submission
of tax returns
Assist with
internal and external audits
Implement
internal controls and financial procedures
to prevent losses
Liaise with vendors and suppliers on financial matters and resolve discrepancies
Provide
financial advice
to the store manager and ownership for budgeting and planning
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
3+ years of accounting experience
(preferably in retail or FMCG)
Proficiency in
accounting software
(e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or ERP systems)
Strong knowledge of
bookkeeping, financial regulations, and VAT laws
in the UAE
Excellent
analytical and numerical skills
Attention to detail and ability to
manage multiple accounts
simultaneously
Good communication skills and ability to work with
cross-functional teams
