Maintain accurate day-to-day accounting records.
Handle accounts payable/receivable and daily cash flow.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Reconcile bank statements and ledgers.
Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on payments.
2. Jewellery-Specific Responsibilities:
Manage gold, diamond, and gemstone stock entries and adjustments.
Track purity, weight, and wastage for gold and other precious metals.
Record labour charges, making charges, and repair costs.
Coordinate with stores for stock audits and inventory verification.
3. VAT & Compliance:
Prepare VAT reports and ensure timely filing.
Ensure compliance with UAE financial regulations and internal policies.
Maintain documentation for audits.
4. Internal Coordination:
Work closely with purchasing, sales, and store teams.
Support management with data for decision-making.
Assist in preparing MIS reports as required.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
Minimum 2-4 years of experience in the jewellery industry (gold/diamond).
Strong knowledge of stock management for jewellery.
Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, ERP, QuickBooks, or similar).
Good understanding of VAT rules in UAE.
Attention to detail and strong numerical accuracy.
Ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines.
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of jewellery purity, weight calculations, and wastage.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
