Responsibilities and Reporting: \xc3\x98 Prepares and issues customer invoices and account statements. \xc3\x98 Prepares and issues vendor settlements. \xc3\x98 Assists in the application of cash and preparation of bank deposits. \xc3\x98 Matches invoices and purchase orders. \xc3\x98 Verifies payment status with carriers. \xc3\x98 Processes invoices to ensure information is current and up-to-date. \xc3\x98 Reviews financial information and assists in preparing monthly reports. \xc3\x98 Works with customers in obtaining Proof of Deliveries (POD\xe2\x80\x99s). \xc3\x98 Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends. \xc3\x98 Maintains account ledgers by posting transactions. \xc3\x98 Assist with month-end and year-end close. \xc3\x98 Maintains financial security by following internal accounting controls. \xc3\x98 Maintains financial historical records by filing accounting documents. \xc3\x98 Maintains customer confidence and protects bank operations by keeping strict customer confidentiality. \xc3\x98 Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment. \xc3\x98 Preparing & maintaining all records pertaining to Accounts receivable & payables. \xc3\x98 Bank reconciliation at the end of every month. \xc3\x98 Assisting with the tax calculations & filing up of the returns. Knowledgeable in the Application of VAT Registration and Quarterly filing. \xc3\xbc Knows how to finalize month and year-end Closing of Accounts Reports, including General Ledger, Sub-Ledgers, Trial Balance, Bank Recon Analysis, and other Summary Schedules Education & Experience: \xc3\x98 Minimum Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in accounting with at least 3-6 years of experience as a freight forwarding accountant, Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree will be an advantage \xc3\x98 UAE Experience Preferred Skills required: \xc3\xbc Accounting knowledge such as data entry skills, balance sheet schedules, bank reconciliations and Fixed Asset registers required. \xc3\xbc VAT knowledge and application would be useful. \xc3\xbc Ability to work quickly, efficiently and maintaining the highest level of quality. \xc3\xbc Ability to listen to instructions and apply new skills with accuracy and efficiency. \xc3\xbc Proficient in Excel and Word. \xc3\xbc Must have excellent English verbal and written communication skills. \xc3\xbc Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills. \xc3\xbc Can work individually and as part of a team.
