We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant with a strong background in the building materials sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing invoices and quotations, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. This role requires a proactive individual who can work independently and collaborate with the sales and procurement teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare accurate customer quotations based on material costs, labor, and delivery charges.
Generate sales invoices and ensure timely dispatch to clients.
Monitor and manage accounts receivable and payable, following up on outstanding payments.
Maintain financial records in compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
Collaborate with the sales and operations teams to ensure proper pricing and cost allocation.
Handle tax filings, VAT documentation, and liaise with auditors as required.
Analyze financial data and provide reports for management decision-making.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the building materials or construction industry.
Strong knowledge of invoicing, quotations, and inventory costing.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, SAP, or similar).
Solid understanding of financial regulations and taxation practices.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
