Job Description

1. Position Objective

To manage and control all financial transactions related to the company's electrical products trading operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting in line with company policies and UAE accounting standards.

2. Key Roles & ResponsibilitiesA. Financial Accounting

Maintain and update

daily accounting records

for purchases, sales, receipts, and payments. Record

journal entries

,

supplier invoices

, and

customer payments

accurately in the ERP system. Prepare and reconcile

bank statements

,

cashbooks

, and

petty cash

on a regular basis. Ensure all

supplier and customer ledgers

are up to date.

B. Sales & Purchase Accounting

Verify and post

purchase orders, delivery notes, and supplier invoices

. Record

sales invoices

and ensure they match with

delivery orders

and

customer POs

. Track

sales margins

and ensure all discounts, credit notes, and returns are properly recorded. Coordinate with the

Sales and Procurement teams

to validate pricing and payment terms.

C. Inventory & Cost Control

Maintain and reconcile

inventory records

for electrical materials, tools, and consumables. Conduct monthly

stock verifications

with the storekeeper and prepare

variance reports

. Monitor

cost of goods sold (COGS)

and ensure accurate costing of products. Support management in analyzing

slow-moving

or

non-moving inventory

.

D. Accounts Payable & Receivable

Prepare and process

supplier payments

(cheques, bank transfers, online payments). Maintain

aging reports

for suppliers and customers. Follow up on

outstanding receivables

and ensure timely collection of payments. Handle

vendor reconciliation

and resolve discrepancies.

E. VAT & Compliance

Prepare

monthly VAT reports

as per

UAE Federal Tax Authority (FTA)

requirements. Ensure all invoices are VAT-compliant with correct TRN and tax breakdowns. Assist in

quarterly VAT returns filing

and maintain supporting documentation. Ensure compliance with

UAE Labour Law

company policies

, and

auditor requirements

F. Financial Reporting & Analysis

Prepare

monthly management reports

including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow. Provide

sales and expense analysis

to management for decision-making. Assist in

budget preparation

and monitor actual performance against targets. Support

external and internal audits

by providing required schedules and documentation.

G. Coordination & Support

Work closely with the

Procurement

,

Sales

, and

Warehouse

departments to ensure smooth financial operations. Coordinate with

banks

for LC, TT, or guarantee-related matters. Support management in cost control and efficiency improvement initiatives.

3. Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of

accounting principles and VAT regulations in UAE

. Hands-on experience with

ERP systems

(e.g., FACTS, Tally, QuickBooks, or SAP). Proficiency in

MS Excel and financial reporting

. Analytical mindset, accuracy, and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

4. Qualification & Experience

Bachelor's Degree in

Accounting, Commerce, or Finance

. Minimum

3-5 years of experience

in accounting within a

trading or electromechanical company

. Knowledge of

electrical materials

and

trading operations

is an advantage.
